FRIDAY 13 SEPTEMBER 2019 - EVENING PROGRAMME STARTS 7.00 PM

DELICIOUS SUPPER, CARNIVAL GLASS DISPLAY, SHOW AND TELL


  • Another fantastic display from the Anthony and Maureen Ward Glass Collection (see our video montage on the home page for a preview of the spectacular carnival glass that will be on display).

  • There will be tasty nibbles and a delicious supper followed by some mouth-watering puddings.

  • Enjoy our intriguing ‘Show and Tell’. Members are invited to bring along up to 3 items from their carnival glass collection and tell us little bit about them so we can discover what stories they hold.

See carnival glass treasures in our amazing 

‘Not for Sale Glass Display’


Members will be bringing along items of carnival glass from their collections which they treasure and would never sell for our ‘Not for Sale Glass Display’ - so you can get to see those beautiful pieces which they would never part with!!


Morning: Following a brief AGM, the Members’ Priority Glass Sales commence with some fantastic items of carnival glass on sale this year to suit all tastes and pockets.


Afternoon: Glass sales continue with our ‘Carnival Glass Market’ where you can bargain and barter for those beautiful items of carnival glass that you have been looking for.



SATURDAY EVENING DINNER FOLLOWED BY MUSIC AND 

AMUSING ENTERTAINMENT STARTS AT 6.45 PM FOR 7.00 PM.


Why not stay on and enjoy an evening with carnival glass friends? We shall make you very welcome. The evening starts with drinks in the conference centre bar followed by a delicious three course meal. There will be music, dancing and an amusing general knowledge ‘pub quiz’ which everyone can join in with as well as a quiet seating area where you can just relax and chat.



SUNDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2019 MORNING – MEET AT 11.30 AM


Proposed Group Visit to the Bosworth Battlefield Museum: Why not join us for a visit to the fascinating Bosworth Battlefield Museum Exhibition on your way home, located 30 miles away from Market Harborough? The cost for entry is £6.00 pp on the special group rate (£5.25 for seniors) and there is a restaurant serving lunches and light bites. Members make their own way to convene at the visitor centre entrance at 11.30 am. Don’t forget that Whitemoors Antiques Centre is close by which also has a Country Tea Room.
